- Wendy Couser Review added: 2018.08.28★ ★ ★ ★ ☆We stayed here for one night. It is a lovely old hotel with a roaring fire. The hotel is comfortable but could do with a little TLC. Dan the manager was helpful and gave us a good giggle. There is free WiFi here, the breakfast was very nice. We didn't have our evening meal here as we wanted to go into Cockermouth. We had a very relaxing time and the hotel is peaceful and quiet. Just what we needed.
